You guys! Remember last week when I thought The Good Joeys were in some trouble? Turns out, the team is even more solid than I gave them credit for, and they continue to climb the Tumblr league table. 38/354! They’ve also closed down the gap between myself and the gentleman currently in first in another of my leagues from 60+ points to 7. Keep it up boys!

You guys! With the exception of Week 19, The Good Joeys have been steadily climbing the tumblr Fantasy Premier League table since about Week 8. 46 out of 354 isn’t bad. With an incredibly low transfer total of 6 I feel pretty good about having spotted the potential in players early and sticking with them through bad spells without having knee jerk trade reactions and getting rid of them only to regret it when they return to form. Lowest number of transfers is also the first tie breaker, so there’s that too.
I try to stay away from posting about fantasy sports because who cares, right? But this is going to be a rough week for me, where I may very well not have a full team available. So I wanted to remember being this high up the table.

You guys! The Good Joeys killed it this week! Second highest scoring in one of my leagues and I’m pretty sure I jumped up about 40 or 50 places in the tumblr league. After two pretty dismal weeks in a row I’m glad to see my team starting to bring in the points. I think the changes I made will make a big difference over the next few weeks, but I am worried about Champions League causing my guys to miss some league games due to rotations.
Okay, I’m over it now.

You guys, The Good Joeys had another less than impressive week. I’m trying not to knee-jerk and completely redo the team, because it’s only been three weeks, but some overhauling is certainly needed. Also, the international break is not making my life any easier, with an extra week to sit and stew. Moves are in the works, with some minor adjustments being made this week. Big things are in store after week four though. I think they’ll make a huge difference. This is my first venture into any kind of fantasy league, and I’m having a blast. Even if my team is mediocre at best.

You guys, I’m having a (not at all) serious crisis

Do I pick England’s Brave and Loyal John Terry, Nani, or Chicharito as my fantasy soccer captain this week?! Like, I am seriously having problems with this. Double points for that player can be huge. EBLJT is probably the most likely to earn a decent amount of points, but the other two have a smaller chance of scoring more points. But it’s Chicharito’s first real game back and Nani hasn’t done shit for me yet. Do I go big or go safe?

    This is hard

    And totally inconsequential

    But still

Presenting The Tumblr Football Club Fantasy Premier League, hosted by A Football Report and the football community on Tumblr!
Last year, the AFR Fantasy Premier League had over 650 participants. This year, we’re hoping to shake things up a bit and focus on getting the football community (from our friends at The World’s Game and The Beautiful Game Blog to all the personal blogs) on Tumblr involved to create something special.
We took care of the winnings to be had thanks to the awesomeness of SoccerPro (winner gets soccer jersey of their choice, 2nd/3rd place get a jacket or an official ball, 4th and 5th place get a $20 Gift Card to SoccerPro.com) mixed with the genius of Live Breathe Football (sign up by kickoff this weekend to be one of five winners of a brilliant LBF shirt).
The rest is up to you. Just click here, enter the league code (81352-135043), and then SPREAD THE WORD! Let’s make this massive!

Make sure you get yourself in on this, Fantasy Premier League is always loads of fun.

Done! The Good Joeys are ready to go. However, there is a distinct lack of Good Joey Barton on my team until I know for sure Newcastle will actually play him. Once that’s settled though, he’s definitely a transfer. Because, why not?
